A peaceful and watchful deer realizes it is being hunted, turns its ears up and freezes, desperately seeking the position of the attacker and planning its escape. I am the deer trapped in the moment of action and inaction; I only have a brief moment to figure out which path I want to take in the future and at the same time I have to deal with current issues of school, family and society. My experience in the civilized environment juxtaposed with a deer in the wild, means I have layered raw materials (dried leaves, eggshells and sand) and man-made materials (cardboard, chicken wire and paper) to create a mirror between two worlds.
