This is the largest surrealist painting that I have painted, reflecting a sudden surge of inspiration at school of the Arts Institute of Chicago. The sudden revelation that I wanted to be an artist  as I developed different techniques that helped me express my transformation. For example, the clockwork structures show my machine-like dedication to my work as my mind was constantly turning with inspiration or new ideas. The flower with it’s corolla painted as a brain shows the burgeoning of my mind. The rapid and vibrant brush strokes were one of the main techniques I learnt, boldly creating many textures, strokes and thicknesses.
